Climb Every Mountain
As part of our commitment to raise as much money as possible for Alzheimer’s Research UK – our charity of the year – we decided we wanted to take on a big challenge.
After debating a range of extreme, dangerous and completely impractical options, we decided we would take on the Yorkshire three peaks challenge. It’s a gruelling 24 mile walk, including three mountains, which must be completed within 12 hours.
The charity committee managed to recruit eight Tangerines for the walk and ensured they signed up before letting them know the walk will be starting at 7am on a Saturday morning (but we have been promised a pub at the end).
It’s the latest challenge we’ve taken on to raise funds for the charity, following Manchester marathon, a bake-off and an incredibly competitive ping pong tournament.
We chose to partner with Alzheimer’s Research UK for the year because of the valuable work they do to tackle the condition with better diagnosis, preventions and treatments. It’s a disease which poses one of the greatest threats to public health and effects the lives of so many.
