Clerkenwell Design Week 2015
Clerkenwell Design Week is one of the highlights of the year for all of us design and architecture geeks at Tangerine. It’s a great opportunity to check out the latest design trends from established and up and coming architects and designers.
Wellbeing in the office was a key theme at the show, with designs incorporating natural elements, standing workstations and even speakers to mask the sounds of your colleague’s conversations being showcased at the event.
Our client, Interface, has teamed up with leading architect Oliver Heath to explore the concept of biophilia (design inspired by nature) and the benefits it can have for those working in offices. He hosted two nights of panel debates at the Interface showroom with high profile speakers including Sebastian Conran. Interface also created a biophilic retreat at the showroom, which was a perfect space for hosting 121s with media, during which we discussed Interface’s own global research project and the links it provides between wellbeing and biophilic design.
I even managed time for a quick selfie at the Johnson Tiles installation while exploring the event!
