Tangerine Chair Nominated for Prestigious Director Awards
Sandy Lindsay, chair and founder of integrated communications consultancy Tangerine, has been nominated and shortlisted for two awards at the Director of the Year Awards 2015, hosted by the Institute of Directors.
The prestigious accolades, which include the SME Director of the Year Award and Director of the Year for Leadership in Corporate Responsibility, recognise the very best directors at the forefront of leadership excellence in the North West.
Sandy, who is the only communications professional to make the nominees list, founded Tangerine in 2002 and has seen it grow into a 60-strong team in nearly 13 years. With an array of global, leading B2B and B2C clients in its portfolio, Tangerine works across a number of industry sectors, delivering international, national and pan-regional campaigns.
In 2013, the apprenticeship ambassador established The Juice Academy, the UK’s first industry-led social media apprenticeship programme, which has since created more than 70 jobs for young people in the region to date.
Within 12 months of launching The Juice Academy, Tangerine’s apprenticeship programme achieved a Certificate of Excellence in the Innovator of The Year category at the SABRE Awards 2014. It was also highly commended in the SME Newcomer Employer of the Year category at the NAS Employer Awards 2014, in addition to being listed as a Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer by the National Apprenticeship Service.
