MP visits award-winning Tangerine
Award-winning integrated communications consultancy, Tangerine, welcomed local Liberal Democrat MP, Jo Swinson, to visit The Juice Academy in Castlefield, to demonstrate its ongoing commitment to apprenticeships within the digital and PR sector.
Tangerine was recently named as a Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer by the National Apprenticeship Service in association with City & Guilds, for its apprentice programme, The Juice Academy, and outstanding achievements as an employer of apprentices.
During the visit, Jo Swinson MP had the opportunity to meet two of The Juice Academy’s apprentices, Rebecca Parker from Tangerine, and Sean Tyson from JW Lees, to hear about how the social media apprenticeship has improved their career prospects. William Lees Jones, owner of JW Lees, also met with Jo to discuss how The Academy has helped the company nurture young talent in the region while meeting its own business needs.
Commenting on the recent visit, Jo Swinson MP, said: “The work that The Juice Academy is doing with these social media apprenticeships is exciting and cutting edge. Both Sean and Rebecca now have the perfect opportunity to fulfil their potential with a top quality employer designed apprenticeship.
“We are committed to increasing the number of people who can benefit from an apprenticeship while driving up quality. High-quality apprenticeships give every young person the opportunity to fulfil their potential while ensuring employers have the skills their business needs now and in the future.”
