The Juice Academy Recognised in the School Leavers Awards

Hot on the heels of being awarded the UK Apprenticeship Award 2017 at the Educate North Awards, Tangerine’s The Juice Academy has once again been highly commended in the School Leavers Top 100 Employers, as voted for by apprentices.

The industry-led digital apprenticeship programme also celebrated being shortlisted in the ‘Top Employer, Medium-sized School Leaver Intake’, ‘Best Training’ and ‘Best Advanced Apprenticeship’ categories for the School Leavers Awards.

In a fantastic result, The Juice Academy has been listed 11th in the UK for its apprenticeship programme and 4th in the UK in the ‘Best Advanced Apprenticeship’ category.

Organised by Allaboutschoolleavers.co.uk, the categories were voted for by apprentices, as well as employers and sponsored degree students from all over the country via anonymous satisfaction surveys. Students and employers rated companies on various criteria including skills development, career progression and overall job satisfaction.

Sandy Lindsay MBE, The Juice Academy founder and chair, said: “We launched The Juice Academy in response to a growing skills gap in all areas of commercial social media. We’re successfully nurturing the digital talent of the future while offering on-the-job experience. It’s wonderful, not only to be recognised, but because these awards have been voted for by the apprentices themselves.”

The Top 100 features high profile names from the professional services industry, construction and engineering, retail giants, broadcasting companies, and even city councils.

The awards ceremony took place on Thursday 25th May at The Waldorf Hilton, hosted by comedian Ed Byrne.

Since its inception, The Juice Academy has trained more than 200 young people and many graduates have gone on to enjoy exciting opportunities with some of the UK’s biggest brands including Social Chain and Unilad.
